Why I Love It: If there’s one extension I recommend, it’s this one. This extension creates a shortcut to switch back and forth to the previously active tab. I can’t overstate how often I use this!

Make sure to go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts to assign a custom shortcut.

uBlock Origin

uBlock Origin

Why I Love It: The most widely used ad blocker. I’ve tried other ad blockers in the past, but uBlock Origin was by far the most effective and reliable.

You can go up to 16x speed!

Why I Love It: Lets you jump to any date in your browsing history. No more scrolling through pages of history to find that article you were reading four days ago…

Why I Love It: Adds a UI for easily enabling/disabling extensions. Comes in handy when you have a lot of extensions to search through.

Language Reactor

Language Reactor

Why I Love It: The best tool for media-based language learning. Displays the subtitles for both your native language and the target language. Includes definitions and vocabulary lists. Compatible with Netflix and YouTube.

Simple Allow Copy

Simple Allow Copy

Why I Love It: Have you ever been annoyed that a website was preventing you from copy/pasting their text? This extension solves that by making all the text copy/pastable.

Simplify
